Shuffle Up and Deal
There are some dedicated Euchre players here at Eagles Cove. Dedicated but fun-loving. Folks who came out to play the Midwest’s favorite card game had a blast, even when going set.

Rules
The following rules are in play during each tournament.
Tournament Play
- Everyone plays for themselves
- You will be assigned your initial table and seat when you check in:
- First player to check in is assigned Table 1, Seat 1
- Second player is assigned Table 1, Seat 2… and so forth
- 10 rounds total:
- Players deal twice each round (8 hands total per round)
- Stick the dealer:
- Dealer must call trump if all players pass twice
- No “Ace/No Face:”
- You cannot throw in hand of 1 Ace, and the rest 9s and 10s
- After each round:
- Winners remain at table
- Losers move to next table (tables are numbered)
- Players draw a single card:
- WINNER HIGH card partners with LOSER HIGH card
- WINNER LOW card partners with LOSER LOW card
Loner Bag
- First player to go alone successfully is awarded the “Loner Bag:”
- Loner Bag transfers to the next player to go alone and make it
- Last player to successfully go alone wins the Loner Bag
Scoring
- Score as many points as you can in each round:
- You can score more than 10 points per round
- 2 additional points awarded to player who goes alone and succeeds
- Renege (caught not following suit):
- Opposing team is awarded 2 points
- While going alone, opposing team is awarded 4 points
Getting Euchred
- If your team is Euchred:
- Player who called trump, 50¢ per Euchre
- Player who DID NOT call trump, 25¢ per Euchre
- Team who is Euchred must wear a set of beads (beads happily provided)
- If you are Euchred while going alone, opposing team is awarded 4 points
Payout Structure
- Top three places paid (payout structure to be announced during tournament):
- Euchre pot split amongst randomly-drawn scorecards
